Are you ready to serve?
We have a place for you!
We would love for you to serve with us! We are always looking for men and women who feel the call of God to further His Kingdom! Below you will find all of our current teams and a place to fill out some information. Let us know how you would like to serve and tell us a little bit about yourself!
Crossing Kids
Crossing Kids exists to work with parents to lead children to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that process should be filled with joy – church really should be fun! Crossing Kids is a place for kids from newborn through 5th grade to encounter Jesus through a variety of teaching methods and hands-on experiences each Sunday. Through the week, we equip parents to continue that process by providing Bibles, classes such as Starting Point, and special holiday teaching tools. Finally, we love a special event! Bubble Sunday, Fall Festival, GLOW Easter egg hunt, Back-to-School Bash, Backpack Blessings, Daddy-Daughter Date Night—Crossing Kids hosts family celebrations of faith at every opportunity. Our goal is to make Sunday the day your kids look forward to all week!
Youth Group
Our Youth Group ministry is for grades 6th-12th. We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm. We have done our best to create an environment for our youth to come in and take some time apart from the distractions of the world. We serve a dinner, play games, worship, have a message, and then break down into small groups separated by grades. We believe in raising disciples in Christ. Whether it be on mission or at church camp, we are reaching the unreachable and growing the kingdom of God.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
Host Team
We always want to help members old and new to feel at home as soon as they walk through the doors. That is why the Host Team is such a crucial component of the overall experience at The Crossing! From greeting people with excitement, holding the doors open, to simply sharing your smile - the Host Team is all about making sure that nobody feels out of place and everyone feels welcome.
Worship Team
At The Crossing, we believe worshipping God is a pivotal part of being a believer. God is worthy of our adoration, and we believe excellence honors God and inspires others. Our goal is to create a worship experience at The Crossing that allows each person to get out of their own way and engage with God one-on-one in complete worship. To achieve this requires minimal distractions, excellent musicianship, a perfect sound mix, lighting cues, and even a comfortable room temperature. We have taken great strides in each of these areas (and others), and we will continue to improve on a weekly basis.
“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitute in your hearts.”
Colossians 3:16 (NIV)
Tech Team
We believe that as a key part of creating a worship-friendly environment, our role - from lighting and sound to display screens - is to help everyone feel at home as we learn and grow together.
Missions Team
The Crossing Missions Team is about using what God has given us to bless others in our communities, showing God’s love to those who otherwise may not see it, and surrendering ourselves to God to be used to serve his people.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:45 (NIV)
Security Team
At The Crossing, we want everyone to feel comfortable, safe, and secure. Though we do not expect any security threats to occur in any of our gatherings, we always err on the side of caution. In wake of the current climate of threats that exist to the public, including religious gatherings, we are pleased to have a security team with multiple members present at all times in any event that takes place at the church. Members of the security team have been trained to assess threats and act preemptively to neutralize any potential acts of violence. We are thankful for our Security Team and the service they provide.
Social Media Team
Social Media is a platform that has created a way to communicate to the world from the comfort of our own home. At The Crossing, we feel the importance of shining light in a world of darkness. While many walks of life use social media in some form, we want to use it to show love, grace, and obedience. Scripture tells use we were not created to live life alone. We post daily scripture, series messages, and ways we can improve our daily walk with God. As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling among us, and we want His presence known throughout the world. We want to stay connected with you and we are very thankful for tools we have been given through social media.
